This past weekend, the Nirschl Realty Team was proud to support our local community as a sponsor of the Food for Others Tysons 5K & Fun Run in Tysons, Virginia.
Held on Saturday, September 26, the event brought together runners, walkers, families, volunteers, and community supporters for a morning dedicated to raising awareness about food insecurity in Northern Virginia. The 5K started at PenFed Plaza at Tysons Corner Center, followed by a 1-mile Fun Run/Walk.
Supporting a Cause That Matters to Our Community
At the Nirschl Realty Team, we believe being part of the Northern Virginia community means more than helping people buy and sell homes. It also means supporting the people and organizations that make our community a better place to live.
Food for Others has served Northern Virginia for three decades, working to provide food to neighbors experiencing food insecurity. According to Food for Others, more than 105,000 people in Fairfax County are experiencing food insecurity, making the organization’s work especially important to our local community.
The Tysons 5K provided an opportunity for people throughout the area to come together, get active, and support the fight against hunger. The event also included an opportunity for participants and volunteers to write inspirational messages for students who participate in Food for Others’ Power Pack Program, which provides weekend meal packs to thousands of students during the school year.
Proud to Be Part of Northern Virginia
Seeing so many people come together for a meaningful cause was a great reminder of what makes the communities we serve special.
From Vienna and Fairfax to Falls Church, Reston, Herndon, and Tysons, the Nirschl Realty Team is proud to call Northern Virginia home. We are grateful for the opportunity to support organizations like Food for Others and the many volunteers and community members who help make events like this possible.
